According to the Child Protection Act, Article 7 (1) "A person who becomes aware that a child is in need of protection shall immediately notify the Social Assistance Directorate, the State Agency for Child Protection or the Ministry of the Interior. (2) The same obligation shall apply to any person who has become aware of this in connection with his profession or activity, even if it is bound by professional secrecy.
In case of suspicion of a situation of child abuse, any citizen, neighbour, relative, doctor, teacher or school employee can contact the NATIONAL CHILDREN'S PHONE LINE and speak to an expert by calling 116 111and report a child at risk.
